I’m thrilled to provide the #31DaysofARVRinEDU event! Each day in March will include an augmented (AR) or virtual reality (VR) resource to bring into the classroom.
If you’re looking for a way to bring 360 video content into your classroom, you have a free and easy option using YouTube. The website is often used in education for traditional 2D videos, while a 360 experience is much more beneficial and personalized for our students. The same video can offer a different view for more learning each time.
Many people are unaware of how to find 360 videos on the YouTube site. Add a keyword in the search bar and run a filter to explore only 360 content.
Students can view 360 videos on the web using a Chromebook or a computer as well as a mobile device on the YouTube app. Using the app, students can split the screen and view the 360 videos in a VR headset viewer.
I’ve created a YouTube playlist of 360 videos to help you get started. Create your own playlist of 360 videos to begin using YouTube in your classroom for VR experiences.
Join us at the next AR VR Bootcamp in Chicago on May 1 & 2 PLUS more locations around the US.
