Digital Safety and Wellness in the Metaverse (TECHNOLOGY)
What is the metaverse and how will it impact our learners? What can we know about digital privacy, safety, and well-being? Everfi created a digital literacy curriculum called Get Digital: Safety in the Metaverse, and it’s FREE for all classrooms.
As metaverse concepts continue to mature, we must prepare our students to approach the technology with the right skills and awareness to navigate their future successfully. Immersive technology will come with benefits and risks, so it’s important to focus on responsible decision-making. The course introduces learners to the core elements of the metaverse and concentrates on the benefits and opportunities ahead while simultaneously preparing students with security and safety measures.
Throughout this month, I've received many requests for more AR/VR training, so I'm delighted to share this free, much-needed resource. In addition, District Administration recently granted this course its Top EdTech Product award. The first module covers the concepts of the metaverse, and the second is focused on privacy, safety, and well-being. The metaverse course and over 100 blended learning courses are available to your students today. Other topics include social-emotional learning, digital literacy, financial capability, health and wellness, career preparedness and more. The teacher dashboard delivers insight into real-time student understanding through self-graded pre and post-assessments.
