As we explore Days 8-14 of #31DaysofARVRinEDU, the resources keep expanding! I will continue to offer opportunities to discover the latest augmented and virtual reality tools for the classroom. My goal is to highlight the innovative developments and immersive resources that have appeared over the last year.

This year, I’m introducing a fresh approach to help you navigate the newest tools. Each blog post will feature a week's worth of resources, enabling you to select the best options for your classroom needs. Throughout March, I will unveil a new resource every day, all of which will be compiled in a slide deck that will evolve as the month progresses.

Day 8 - Reality Times Newspaper 2026

I'm always excited to share my Reality Times Newspaper at conferences. The augmented reality pages make learning about XR so much fun and easier to understand. I included many different resources in the newspaper including:

  • Meta AI Glasses and app - including accessibility with Be My Eyes

  • HoloTutor by VictoryXR

  • 10K Science

  • Merge Creator app

  • Artivive in Canva

  • Medical Holodeck AI

If you'd like to get your own Reality Times Newspaper (2026), make sure to attend my events at ISTE this year. As a special gift to those that are reading this, I'm excited to share my PDF for the first time! Send me an email at jaimedonally@gmail.com to request your copy.

Day 9 - Engage XR (subscription required)

Engage has been busy building a virtual reality space where custom environments and characters use AI to magically interact. While most platforms use a single AI option, Engage has found a way to include many of them, including:

  • Gemini

  • OpenAI

  • Llama

  • EleventLabs

  • Blockade Labs

Engage has continued to grow into a powerhouse of content collection, interactions, and immersive learning. Keep in mind that while the AI features are certainly important for customizing the perfect spatial learning environment, it does require the educator to have access to a paid enterprise account.

The McGraw Hill AR app has continued to grow with new content in math, science, language arts and social studies. One of the latest releases on deforestation is absolutely stunning with vivid colors and realistic AR scenes. The app demonstrates how our practices affect the rainforest and how to help it flourish.

Day 11 - VictoryXR Robot Factory (subscription required)

Learning algebra doesn't need to be boring any longer in this robot factory within the VictoryXR VXRLabs Creator Space. Students will be challenged to solve equations under the pressure of a conveyor belt to increase the intensity. The equations are solved using mechanical robot parts, and the more complex the equations are, the more upgrades are unlocked.

Delightex has introduced several updates, including a new eerie environment. The Haunted Forest is ideal for the horror experiences students wish to showcase, offering the perfect atmosphere for a fresh range of experiences.

The Jump action is now seamlessly integrated into ClassVR headsets via the back button, improving navigation in VR scenes. When using ClassVR headsets, point at an interactive item and click to trigger its action. If no clickable objects are present, the same input will activate the Jump action, allowing for smooth movement through the scene without changing controls or breaking immersion.

Day 14 - Meta AI App

The Meta AI app has undergone many transitions, starting as an app for the Meta Glasses and now offering a free personal AI assistant powered by the Llama model. The Meta Glasses now include the Display model, which adds augmented reality so you can not only hear content and take pictures/videos/live, but also see it in AR.

The app has many other features that you may have missed. Below are some of the FREE spotlight features:

  • Conversational AI

  • Content Generation - including documents

  • Social media connections with Facebook and Instagram

  • Share your video - when using the Meta glasses, move to your video view during the call

  • Live translations

  • Ask Meta to remember information (including pictures from your glasses)

Prepare for more immersive resources next weekend to get 7 additional tools to enhance your learning.
