I'm excited to begin #31DaysofARVRinEDU! It's always a busy month for sharing augmented and virtual reality resources for the classroom, but it's exciting to highlight all the latest updates and immersive training that have come out over the past year.

While you'll see many more tools leveraging AI, you'll also notice investment in student-created content. There are many new updates that offer your students more creative options, and the content is expanding and getting deeper.

This year, I'm adding something a little different to get you started with the latest tools. I will share a week's worth of resources in each blog post so you can pick and choose the best resource for your classroom. For each day in March, I share a new resource, and I'll add it to this slide deck, which will continue to grow throughout the month.

Day 1 - Delightex AI Buddies

Introducing AI Buddies: Your Interactive 3D Companions

These new AI-powered 3D characters are designed for both Pro and Trial users. Designed for both professionals and beginners, AI Buddies offers a unique experience in which it talks, reacts, and guides you through engaging animations. Safety is a top priority, with controlled access and built-in guardrails ensuring a secure user experience.

Day 2 - Delightex AI Coding

Explore the World of Coding with AI Skills

For students interested in coding with AI, Delightex offers hands-on experience. With visual coding using CoBlocks, learners can design interactive AI Buddies that respond in real time during storytelling. This method not only helps develop computational thinking but also deepens understanding of AI concepts, making the learning process purposeful and rewarding.

Day 3 - Floreo

I had the chance to learn about Floreo and include them in the FETC Immersive Experience in January. I love their work in supporting our students using virtual reality. Floreo helps kids learn important skills, such as talking to others and managing their feelings, with a specific focus on supporting special education students. I am truly thankful for a company that prioritizes our special education students.

Day 4 - McGraw Hill Webinar Recap (TRAINING)

I just finished an amazing webinar with the McGraw Hill AR team and 3 fantastic educators (Dene Gainey, Zeny Ulloa and Lois Seaman). Our theme was music, and we had a blast with AI-generated musical introductions to Name That Tune and Kahoot games to learn more about the benefits and opportunities of augmented reality. Watch the recording and get full access to the presentation here.

Day 5 - TeacherGoals Podcast (TRAINING)

Hosted by Alaina Clark and Heather Brown

Getting started with augmented and virtual reality doesn't need to break the bank or require extensive tech training. Did you know that the practical application of AR/VR is possible and can support your students in areas where they have gaps? Watch this special episode and others as they spotlight women in edtech.

Day 6 - VictoryXR CTE

VictoryXR is once again offering a comprehensive range of CTE courses to equip students with practical training for in-demand careers in AI, VR, and XR. By collaborating with schools, VictoryXR creates realistic environments that help students develop genuine skills applicable to new career paths.

List of CTE Programs:

  • Nurse Assistant

  • Medical Assistant

  • Carpentry

  • Welding

  • Robotics

  • Drone Operation

  • Vet Tech Assistant

Day 7 - New McGraw Hill Activities

There have been several new activities released in the FREE McGraw Hill AR app. The app is a perfect option to get started with AR in the classroom because it's easy to use, available on phones, tablets and Chromebooks, and it's completely FREE. Yes, I said that twice. Since the content covers math, science, social studies and ELA, you're likely to find a great resource in the McGraw Hill AR app. Some of the new activities are listed below.

Math

  • Divide with Remainders

  • Add and Subtract Fractions

  • Game Theory

Science

  • Animal Cell

  • Big Dig

Social Studies

  • Map Dash!

Prepare for more immersive resources next weekend to get 7 additional tools to enhance your learning.
