Apollo 11 - Day 30 of #31DaysofARVRinEDU

Apollo 11 #31DaysofARVRinEDU

I’m thrilled to provide the #31DaysofARVRinEDU event! Each day in March will include an augmented (AR) or virtual reality (VR) resources to bring into the classroom.

The Apollo 11 VR experience in the Oculus Go was worth every penny! I spent $4.99 on my first paid app because other users highly recommended this VR experience. I didn't plan to spend money on the Go apps because I knew I focus on more free apps for educators. However, I'm thankful that I took the leap and purchased this app because it made the Go more valuable for the classroom.

When you first arrive in the experience, you're located in a typical living room in the '60s. The TV screen is sharing pieces of history leading up to the launch day. When it's time to launch, you're relocated at the shuttle to participate in the takeoff.

Each breathtaking experience in 360 of the Earth and then the moon is entirely surreal. I feel this kind of experience in the Go makes the device purchase worth the investment. Please share your thoughts with any of the #ARVRinEDU resources listed in the #31DaysofARVRinEDU.
