Welcome to the ARVRinEDU Advent Calendar 2022! Our special focus this year is on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math). These mini blogs will spotlight an immersive resource that can be easily implemented into the curriculum.
VXRLabs Labyrinth (MATH)
Jump into a virtual reality labyrinth in VictoryXR Labs to explore math, biology, or fun trivia. Join on your own or bring in a class using Quest headsets. In the math learning labyrinth, students can answer questions that are basic or advanced, and the questions get progressively harder (and darker) the longer you play. The labyrinth progresses through ten gates before finding the wise king's lair.
I found the immersive space an interesting approach to collaborating on math concepts while challenging the learners to figure out how to navigate in the maze. I would have enjoyed the app more if I had others joining me, but it was fun to see the creative approach to engaging with math content while getting somewhat lost in the maze. I would love to have the option to add my own questions in the future (although it looks like this may be a future update).
