Day 9 - Graphing Calculator AR

Are you struggling to understand algebra and calculus concepts? Do you wish there was a way to visualize 3D graphs more concretely? The newly updated Graphing Calculator AR app uses augmented reality to experience 3D graphs in your space.

With the Graphing Calculator app, students can graph:

  • Functions

  • Parametric curves and surfaces

  • Inequalities

  • Points

  • Vectors

  • Contour and density plots

  • Color maps

  • Vector fields

  • Ordinary differential equations

  • Surfaces of revolution

  • Coordinate transformations

  • Conformal maps and complex-valued curves

  • Surfaces

  • Ordinary differential equations

Solve equations or view examples of 2D, 3D, cross-sections, special curves, and many more. Animate the graph by spinning the object around or viewing the graph from multiple perspectives as you walk around the 3D object. Begin visualizing math in a whole new way using immersive technology!

Steps to get started

  1. Download the iOS app. ($0.99)

  2. Select the question mark at the top of the screen to select and then select examples.

  3. Go through the series of graphs to view.

  4. Select the augmented reality symbol at the top of the screen.

  5. Get to graphing!
